Remilled cedar is a favorite here at HistoricWoods. Not only is it used to make beautiful furniture and decor, but works great as a feature wall. Taken from fences and decks, this wood usually has heavy paint on both sides to begin with. We plane down the wood on both sides and rip to width. The boards have character from initial exposure and use. The color of the reclaimed cedar may vary from creamy white to dark brown and usually varies from one part of a board to another. So not only do you get a lot of character, but you can customize it with a selection from a number of our finishes - or finish it on your own!
