This reclaimed oak was previously used as siding boards for tobacco drying barns and the conditions that made for a good cure of the tobacco leaf also helped preserve the oak siding. The PatinaDeep™ product will have a partially milled face which leaves some of the original weathering and texture; when we mill the floor we target about half of the surface area to be original with the other half milled; this process creates beautiful distinctions between the original weathered wood and the newly milled bright wood. With this mixture of appearances, an Antique Oak PatinaDeep™ Floor can anchor a variety of design motifs from rustic to refined.
