Tobacco Beech Scar'dFace™ Flooring

take a look at another wood floor

This antique Beech was previously used as timbers & siding in a tobacco drying barn; the fine grain and smooth texture make for strong durable timbers; the timbers have been carefully removed, resawn, kiln-dried and remilled to flooring; the result is  a gripping floor full of warm colors and moderate character; the wood itself is very refined, but is scattered with knots, surface checks, and critter tracks; the combined nature of the wood and the previous use create a feel that is both formal and antique, lending itself to design applications out of reach to many other reclaimed woods.
