Grade Descriptions

Since the grade names we use are all proprietary we felt it necessary to explain them a bit further:

AgedSawn

A grade for reclaimed wood floors which incorporates a fully original face usually showing both weathering and saw marks

PatinaDeep

A grade for reclaimed wood floors which is a mixture of freshly planed wood, weathering and saw marks

Scar'dFace

A grade for reclaimed wood floors which shows off the signs of previous use as much as possible, but also provides a predominately smooth floor face

ExposedGrain

A grade for reclaimed wood floors which minimizes the signs of previous use and shows off the original wood as much as possible

FullSawn

A grade for FreshCut wood floors which maintains the saw marks and other texture from when a board was originally cut from a log

NaturalDraft

A grade for FreshCut wood floors which shows off the natural character of wood with color variations and knots, but also has a smooth face

ClarionChoice

A grade for FreshCut wood floors which is essentially clear, while maintaining the widest and longest boards possible
