We offer all kinds of wood floors from the ultra formal of Walnut ClarionChoice to the ultra rustic of Antique BarnPlank AgedSawn. Sometimes it is difficult to tell how rustic a floor will be in your home by what you see in the pictures here on the web site or sometimes even by the samples we send you. So we decided to help by creating our own character scale; the short of it is that we ranked our floors on a 1 - 10 scale; the lower the number the more refined, the higher the number the more rustic. The long of it is that it is not that simple; character lies in the eye of the beholder, so we put a lot of eyes on it to rank the floors. We took into consideration texture, color variations, knots average board length and signs of previous use as the guiding factors; the more of these factors in the wood the higher the number. Its not a perfect system by any means, but we hope it is usefull to you as you decide what floor works best for you.
