more than any other product we offer, this one has been worn by its previous use; somewhere in the dark recesses of a mushroom farm wooden planks supported the entire mushroom growing process; the boards only stayed there a few years, but those years did a lot to the wood; the enzyme rich soil to grow mushrooms has eaten away much of the soft portions of the grain leaving an overabundance of texture; we tone the texture down a bit by skip-planing the face to make it a bit more functional; because of the extreme texture it will have limited uses as a flooring product, but would fill in a design nicely as wainscot, or a ceiling covering
